Arm integration

Since the creation of the first measuring arms in the early 1990s, KREON has been developing interfaces that enabled its scanners to get connected on that kind of portable measuring systems.

There has been a huge increase of the use of those systems in the 2000s. More flexible and portable, they are now a good alternative to fixed CMMs. The ability to bring the measurement system directly on the part (notably for huge parts) and the possibility to use them in non air-conditioned environment (workshop, outside…) have greatly contributed to the development of those solutions.

Kreon with its Polygonia software was the forerunner of portable scanning solutions. For example, the same Kreon Zephyr scanner could be interfaced on various measuring arm brands: Faro, Romer, Cimcore, ZettMess, Garda…

Today, all the Kreon scanners can be interfaced on different arms of the market, in Polygonia or Kreon plug-ins for third-party software.
